1. What is your favorite thing about traveling?

I’m fascinated by fine art and culture, and traveling provides a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the most fundamentally important and truly breathtaking artistic creations.

2. Is traveling a hobby or a lifestyle for you? How did you get started?

It’s a lifestyle, especially since I spend so much time traveling between Beverly Hills, Sacramento, Houston, and New York.

3. What is the most beautiful place you’ve been to?

Venice, Italy.

4. Do you have any exciting travel dates planned for the future?

I’m hoping to return to Italy soon, as I’d like to again visit the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.

5. What are some travel tips you’d give to someone inexperienced?

When I travel for recreation, I choose a destination with a very specific focus — usually related to art and art history. I think travelers should make sure to adopt a similarly purposeful approach when selecting a travel destination.

6. Where would you like to go?

Basel, Switzerland, especially during Art Basel.

7. Where would you like to revisit?

I’m quite fond of Italy, but I also had a wonderful experience in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico.

8. Do you travel alone? Why?

I’m comfortable traveling alone or with a big group, so it is really just a matter of who is available to travel and for how long.

10. Do you travel light or do you pack up the house?

Even when I am planning a long trip I prefer to feel unburdened by baggage, so I mostly travel very light.
